I’ve spent the better part of two days doing nothing but acquiring new music. I’m talking about going through two months worth of dj service updates, blogs, and emails. It was a tedious but very rewarding task, and I reminded myself why I usually stay on top of this kinda shit. I technically already posted my July Top Ten, but here are a few more joints I’m really feeling.

Veoba has been doin their thang lately. From online advertising to marketing to merch to distribution, Dick can do it all. Veoba is also known for the parties they throw all over the country. I was lucky enough to play their first website pre-launch party with the dude Kid Static, and now I’m back for round 2. Streets on Fire and Ssssnake, plus myself and DJ Abducted on the wheels. This will be dumb fun.
So I was gonna wait to post this up till I officially added it to the site, but its already on my Soundcloud page and has been gettin some good press all over the intertron. The rumors are true. Last Friday was my last weekly at Tonic Room… because I will now be holdin it down every Friday at ROOF at the Wit! Most definitely excited for this new opportunity, can’t wait to get it crackin this weekend. ROOF now boasts the most impressive DJ lineup in the city as far as I’m concerned, with White Shadow every Wednesday, myself on Fridays, and tons of dope DJs on Saturdays and Sundays. The Music Trust is doin it huge, and I’m happy to be a part of it.
I also wanted to shout out Nic, Izzo, Rob, and everyone over at Tonic Room. The past year has been an absolute blast DJing there every weekend, but its time for a change. And fear not Tonic patrons, my man Deejay Pickel will be now holding down every Friday starting next week.

Mid-May means only one thing around these parts… Birthday time. Myself and former bandmate/current Dirty Social selector DJ Intel have born days one day apart, and we have made it a bit of a tradition to have at least one blowout party each year. Last year the party was at Butterfly Social Club. I got housed and slept in the back of my friend’s car that night, and my last memory of the night is going up to DJ at midnight. Good times. This year we return to Butterfly for round 2, with fellow Taurus Johnny Fonseca and Merk1 joining us on the decks. Not gonna front… I’m scared.
The homie Boi Jeanius hollered a couple weeks ago about getting me on The Go Show, his weekly ustream show on http://suspencefulent.com. I happily obliged, as the Boi has been one of my favorite DJs for a minute. Lots of new tricks, blends, remixes, and other hotness on this video… We hope you enoy.
