Yup, you read that right interweb friends… I’ve just finished uploading TWO brand new mixes for free download here at bigonce.com!!!
The first was recorded live at Tonic Room in Chicago on 12/19/09. I pressed up only 50 hand-numbered copies of this mix and gave them out the following weekend at the launch party for this site. If you have one of the 50, it will be worth millions some day. If you don’t, here’s your chance to download all the hotness in mp3 format.
The second mix was recorded Tuesday on the MadKids radio show on WMSE 91.7FM in Milwaukee, WI. The homies Kid Cut Up and DJ Bizzon run Milwaukee’s dopest hip hop radio show every Tuesday from 9 to midnight. They play nothin but old school, classics, and new indie hip hop, so my mix represents those genres quite well if I do say so myself. Cut Up, Bizzon, and myself also chop it up about everything from the weather, to my DJ history, to Gucci Mane. Burr!
Both these mixes were recorded LIVE with no editing or studio trickery, and both have full tracklists at the download pages. Click the pics or the links below to download.
DJ Trew is the head honcho over at Ground Lift Media, and he also is the resident selector every Saturday at Crocodile in Wicker Park, Chicago. He approached me to do an Ol’ Dirty Bastard tribute set at the November edition of his Uberjam 90’s party, and this is what I came up with in the few days prior to the party. 13 of Dirty’s most dancefloor-friendly tunes blended together live.
